test

We spent the last few days in quarantine at the farm we are staying on in Granada, as some of our team tested positive and we don’t want to begin an outbreak here. It was very tough the first few days as we learned to rest, to sit with God and grow closer to one another. That time has also allowed us to truly prepare the ministries we are walking into (I‘m not going into detail with them now as it’s different everyday and I will know more next week)! We have realized that in our time here, we are really learning how to serve others no matter where we are. I am putting myself into that mindset and trying to prepare for how I can take what I‘m learning here and bring in back to the people I know (and don’t know yet) in the US.
We are currently staying at a fruit farm in Granada that is beautiful in so many ways. We can see volcan mumbacho (Mumbacho volcano) from our “dorm”, various other mountains, lots of birds, horses, and tropical wildlife. You frequently here many of us saying, “wow I can’t believe we’re here. Thanks God!” And we all truly mean it. This mission trip is more than just a travel excursion and while there is plenty of fun along the way, the best part is watching all my friends and I grow in the Lord. I look forward to updating you next week with what ministry really looks like for us!

P.S. Don’t be offended or worried if I don’t respond during the week, I do not have access to wifi on the farm, will not be on my phone during ministry time, and have limited time to chat on the weekends. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, just know it will be a delayed response!!
